The Brazilian Alliance Celebrates its 6th Anniversary Connecticut Brazilians and supporters will be gathering at Braza’s in Hartford on Sunday, May 2nd for the Sixth Annual Fundraising Event for the Aliança Brasileira, a.k.a The Brazilian Alliance. "This will be a day like no other," says Abigail Amorim who is the organizing chair and Executive Director of the Alianca. "We will have a large cross representation of the Brazilian Community, bring both business and community together to celebrate the Alianca Brasileira past year accomplishment and talk about what the future will look like moving forward." During the event leaders from local Educational Institutions, the Media, Corporations and Community will be honored.
“This year we have many reasons to celebrate”. Even despite tough economic times the Alliance has remained very active in continuing to help develop future leaders who will bridge the differences, develop better resources, engage people and bring community together for the Brazilian and local economy. The Alliance has participated in many programs ranging from the Census 2010 program, The Hartford Public Library, the Consulate, mentored students from local Universities, participated in International Women's Day, and focused on immigration reform policy that has improved the lives of our Community, and many other great community events. “The future is bright for the Alliance and we look forward to this day of celebration”.
Founded in 2003, The Brazilian Alliance (Aliança Brasileira) is a nonpartisan and nonprofit community based organization dedicated to advance and improve the wellness and quality of life of Brazilians and Brazilian-Americans living in the United States.
