No dia 24 de Março, os diretores da ABE- Waterbury, Boston e Hartford se encontraram pela primeira vez para um debate informal cuja intenção foi fortalecer o crescimento da organização de acordo com as necessidades específicas de cada localidade. A análise SWOT foi usada como ferramenta para avaliar as necessidades atuais na área administrativa.

On March 24, 2012,  ABE- Waterbury, Boston and Hartford members, met for the first time for an informal debate whose intention was to enhance the growth of the organization according to the specific needs of each one of its affiliates.  The SWOT analysis  was used as a tool to evaluate the present needs of the organization in the administrative area.

No dia 24 de Março, os diretores da ABE- Waterbury, Boston e Hartford se encontraram pela primeira vez para um debate informal cuja intenção foi fortalecer o crescimento da organização de acordo com as necessidades específicas de cada localidade. A análise SWOT foi usada como ferramenta para avaliar as necessidades atuais na área administrativa.

The Brazilian Alliance in the United States Announces Opening of Waterbury-Naugatuck Office

waterburyHartford, CT – The National Board of the Brazilian Alliance in the United States (a.k.a Aliança Brasileira nos Estados Unidos or ABE) is proud to announce the opening of an office in Waterbury-Naugatuck, CT. The Brazilian Alliance goals are to improve the quality of life of children and families through education, advocacy and referrals. ABE serves a model of community organization for the development of immigrant communities and throughout these years, ABE has helped promote leadership, culture pride, and business growth. Carlos Nunes and Eliete Lelis were appointed to run the local office as Associate Directors. Carlos has a degree in Human Services and his goal is to help people improve their social and economic conditions by means of education and directing people to possible solutions to their problems. His social work activities are guided by his profession’s code of ethics, and deep respect toward people. Eliete is a charismatic leader and savvy business owner and the proprietor of the Brazil Grill restaurant on Main St. in Waterbury. Also present at the meeting were, members Kelly Barbosa, Talline Matos, Artur Souza, Eudes da Costa, e Luis Carlos. ABE Board of Directors congratulates Carlos, Eliete and members and applauds their contribution to society and the Brazilian community.The new office is located at 2060 S Main St, Waterbury, CT 06706 - Telephone:            (203)721-1418      (Eglish) &            (203) 948-7523      (Portuguese).

 The Brazilian Alliance is a non-profit organization founded in 2003 by Abigail Amorim as a result of her Masters in Social Work. Abigail is also an MBA candidate from Post University. “Her contributions to the Brazilian community are felt from Coast to Coast”, says Sergio Melo, ABE’s San Francisco board member and Brazilians around the World delegate. “Her performance as the Executive Director of The Brazilian Alliance has taken the organization to a nationwide role. Through her vision and leadership she provides a much needed big-picture plan for Brazilian non-profit organizations across the USA, an integrated effort to optimize resources and results” fotogrupo2011flagraisingadds Sergio Melo. Finalizing we add a quote from Abigail that says “Ask not what your community can do for you, but what you can do for your community!” Participate in your community, volunteer and be parte of The Brazilian Alliance in the United States team!

waterbury Hartford, CT – O Conselho Nacional da Aliança Brasileira nos Estados Unidos, a (ABE) tem o orgulho de anunciar a abertura de um escritório em Waterbury-Naugatuck, CT. As metas da ABE são melhorar a qualidade de vida das crianças e as famílias através da educação, defesa, e encaminhamentos. A ABE serve como exemplo e modelo de organização para o desenvolvimento de comunidades imigrantes. Por todos estes anos, a ABE ajudou a promover liderança, orgulho da cultura brasileira, e o crescimento de novos comércios locais. Carlos Nunes e Eliete Lelis foram nomeados os Diretores da organização em Waterbury. Carlos é formado em Serviços Humanos. A sua meta é ajudar as pessoas a melhorar suas condições sociais e econômicas por meios da educação e direcionar as pessoas para possíveis soluções para seus problemas. As suas atividades na área de serviço social são guiadas pelo código de ética de sua profissão, e o respeito profundo em relação às pessoas. Eliete é uma líder carismática, inteligente e proprietária do restaurante Brazil Grill localizado na Main St. em Waterbury. Estavam presentes também na reunião os membros; Kelly Barbosa,Talline Matos, Artur Souza, Eudes da Costa, e Luis Carlos.  A Aliança Brasileira nos Estados Unidos é uma organização sem fins lucrativos fundada em 2003 por Abigail Amorim em conseqüência de seu estudo de mestrado em Serviço Social. "Sua contribuição à comunidade brasileira esta sento refletida do leste ao oeste do país!” diz o membro dos Conselhos, da ABE em São Francisco, e Representante dos Brasileiros no Exterior, Sergio Melo.
